Presentation and Evalutation
So today we presented the concept for the students at Marselisborg High...
...They didn't like it. Or I would argue that they didn't understand it. It's interesting how they kept asking us for more responsibility and be treated more as adults, when in fact, they cannot even sit still and listen for 30 min... It might be that our presentation was not well suited for our audience (no funny puns or covered in instagram filtered photographs) but for them to misunderstand the whole idea of our project is just plain not-listening. The proposal was to make a flexible schedule so that you could customize your week to fit your needs.
But I do think maybe it is okay the way the school works now. Better not have more flexible stuff and decisions you have to take before time. It would be a better thing just to cancel the grade system and just have the old: passed! / not passed! Then responsibility for your own learning would mean way more. Then you'll read a certain book or play because you're interested and not because you have to score a high grade. We would get a lot more adult and interested people instead of zombie-like teenager's who forget everything after the exams... ... okay, maybe that last one was a little bit to harsh. But really, the grade system and the acceptence requirements should really be rethought!
