Milano!

Well. Wauw. Milano was definetly an experience. Our small studytrip to Milano was both exhausting and interesting.

Milano as a city has some beautiful street scenes where you really see how the use of chiaroscuro makes courtyards and small streets even more dramatic and beautiful. The contrast between the very old and worn and the new, shiny and expensive is gigantic. To totally different mindsets. One wanting to last forever and the other searching for quick fame. The city excudes a great tension between this everlasting old cityfabric and the disposable and temporary fashion items. A question of taste also comes to one mind, where contemporary italian design sometimes seems very far away from the old italian crafts. That said, there was some interesting exhibitions both on Ventura Lambrate, Tortona and the citycenter.
