Casting Workshop III
Since the aluminium cast didn't go as planned, I made one more mold to test if bronze will flow differently and fill more of the mold. Eventhough I do think somehing interesting came of the the aluminium cast I would really like this cast to have a little bit more of the imprint of my granny's doilie.
I improved the form a wee bit by adding more ventilation pipes and made the pouring pipe wider and taller to make more pressure. I also corrected an error where one of the pouring canals from the pipe was upside down and added one more. I used the wax more efficiently this time and both dipped the structure like last time but also formed the unheated wax on the structure making more desirable vents and pipes.
We will be casting this test on friday or monday, so I'm looking forward to see how it will turn out!
