Casting Workshop VII

I casted the model one more time today, and it went very well = all three points with "eyes" were intact!

Left overs from the perevious castings were melted again.

We tried with a different heating system this time, where air was blown into the barrel so that it will gain more heat quicklier. And it worked! The bronze got a lot hotter this time.

The melted bronze had this crazy neon orange colour.

The final cast looked like this with all the air ventilation pipes.

It almost look like roots.

The only thing that wasn't totally intact was this one eye. I think some dirt must have entered the mold somehow. But I think it will work anyway. The bronze is a lot stronger than I expected it to be.

All the pieces after cutting them away.
